Two layers of cotton with 1/8 elastic straps.
Paula Crown's Alphabravo series draws upon a phonetic alphabet and focuses on the clarity of language. Initially developed for aviation, where the consequences of miscommunication can mean life or death, it reminds us that precise attention when listening and messaging are essential. But, what can be gained when we are challenged to communicate in new ways? This layered cotton mask uses the graphic Alphabravo pattern to replace facial expressions, allowing for an alternate form of communication during social interactions. While we mask up to protect others, this newly essential garment is an opportunity to explore how we express ourselves and what we value during isolating times.
